The grace period for certain rules related to the introduction of the euro ended on October 8, 2025. This means that, starting October 8, 2025, notary offices must register real estate values in both levs and euros. From January 1, 2026, to August 8, 2026, real estate values will be re-registered in euros and, of course, in levs.
As a reminder, since 2007, all real estate in Bulgaria has been registered in either euros or levs.
