Discussions about where Bulgaria would host the 71st Eurovision Song Contest in 2027 began immediately after the victory. The cities in contention were Sofia, Burgas, Plovdiv, and Varna. In August, the battle escalated between Sofia and Burgas. Burgas recently emerged victorious, thanks to the brilliant work of the Burgas City Hall team and the mayor, Diametr Nikolov.
On May 16, Bulgaria won the Eurovision Song Contest for the first time in its history. This victory sparked a heated, albeit controversial, reaction on social media. The singer, Darina Yotova, aka Dara, returned to Sofia, and the country began preparations to host the contest for the first time in history in a year.
All three main shows will be held at the Burgas Arena. Eurovision 2027
